I have posted a report on the day that our family spent in Tallinn, Estonia while on a Baltic cruise in the summer of 2009. We had no itinerary - our goal was just to relax and enjoy the historic Old Town on a beautiful summer's day. We discovered that the charm of Tallinn is in wandering the cobble-stoned streets, marvelling at the medieval architecture and absorbing the atmosphere. The well-preserved Old Town is like a picture-perfect fairytale village and an ideal place to while away an afternoon. We had a wonderful relaxed day which was exactly what we needed after two hectic days of sightseeing in St. Petersburg.
