The Westin Harbour Castle hotel is conveniently located on the Toronto waterfront with easy access to downtown attractions, entertainment, dining and shopping. Although known for the top notch conference facilities, the hotel also does a great deal to make families feel welcome.
I first moved to Toronto in 1992 and still regularly spend time in the city although I now live in the suburbs. Toronto's newest attraction is Ripley's Aquarium of Canada which opened to much fanfare earlier this fall. The aquarium, located next to the CN Tower, depicts both marine and freshwater habitats from around the world and is Canada's largest indoor facility at 12,500 sq. metres (135,000 sq.ft).
Each year the Royal Botanical Gardens welcomes winter with a celebration called Holiday Traditions. The star attraction is a botanical model train installation but festivities also include musical entertainment, children's activities and a traditional Santa dressed in splendid robes.

Now is the perfect time to visit Springridge Farm for the Harvest Festival every weekend (including Thanksgiving Monday) through to the end of October. Fun activities for kids, delicious baked goods, and a large selection of pumpkins makes it the perfect fall outing for families.
