I have posted a report on the two days that our family spent in St. Petersburg, Russia while on a Baltic cruise in the summer of 2009. Over the course of two days spent with a private guide and driver, we were able to see Catherine's Palace, the Peterhof gardens, The Hermitage museum, The Winter Palace, St. Nicholas' Cathedral, St. Isaac's Cathedral, Our Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood and the statue of The Bronze Horseman.
Our guide was both charming and knowledgeable and completely focused on ensuring that we enjoyed our time in St. Petersburg and would want to return. Two days is not enough time to see everything that St. Petersburg has to offer but we were able to enjoy the time that we had there, see many of the city's historic landmarks and leave with the impression that it is truly one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
