If you are looking for ideas on where to take your kids then look no further than Frommer’s 500 Places to Take Your Kids Before They Grow Up. This book is an excellent resource for parents who want to travel with their kids.
The book is organized into numerous categories such as: One of a Kind Cityscapes; Historic Restorations; Zoos; Hiking & Backpacking; and Roller Coasters. Each listing includes background information about each place, practical information such as opening times, nearest airport, family-friendly hotels and age recommendations, and also the author’s note on “Why They’ll Thank You”.

This is one of my favourite books to browse for inspiring ideas on where to take the kids. We have been to 42 so far with Katie and Emma – so clearly we have some serious traveling to do if we are going to make any headway on this list before they grow up.
