When Your Teen Grows Wings…
My 15 year old daughter is heading to Scotland on her own for three weeks this summer and I am so proud of her that she has the confidence to travel on her own.
My 7 Links – A Look at the Not So Distant Past
I am participating in the Tripbase 7 Links project that is intended to resurrect old blog posts and provide them with the recognition that they deserve. Once a blog receives a nomination for the project then the blogger publishes his/her links for seven specified categories and then nominates up to five more bloggers to take part in the project. As my blog is only slightly more than four months old, I wasn't sure that I should take part in a project designed to provide a retrospective look at a blog. Upon reflection, however, I decided that it can never hurt to examine your work and determine what is working and what isn't – the 7 Links project is a perfect opportunity for me to do that. A big thank you to Jessica from Suitcases and Sippycups (a delightful blog written by a mom who travels with four young boys) for my nomination.
Gone with the Family – here I go…………..
I am very excited to finally get my family travel blog up and running. With much appreciated encouragement from friends, I decided to start this blog to document the trips that my husband and I take, and have taken, with our two daughters and to share our experiences with other families planning similar vacations. Travel, particularly family travel, is my passion. I believe that travel is one of the most educational experiences a child can have and I delight in traveling with my children and seeing the world through their eyes. I love to read about and plan for future vacations, whether it be holidays that we have already booked or locales that I'm just dreaming about visiting one day. Through this blog I hope to connect with like-minded travelers who want to discuss the pleasures and pitfalls of traveling en famille.
