I have posted a report on the day that our family spent in Gdansk, Poland while on a Baltic cruise in the summer of 2009. Gdansk, which was once an independent city-state called Danzig, celebrated its 1000th year as a Baltic city in 1997. The city was almost completely destroyed during the Second World War but the streets of its Main Town have been carefully restored.
